Clearwater FL, (January 20) -  The Citizens Commission on Human Rights of Florida is hosting the “Fight for Kids” Award ceremony on Feb. 21, 2009.  The event will recognize parents, throughout Florida, who have gotten very active in educating others about the truth behind behavioral and learning “disorders”.  These parents have first-hand experience with their children having been diagnosed and labeled by psychiatry and what effect that had on their lives.

Most parents are not fully informed about the harms of psychiatric drugs, the fact that there are no medical tests to evidence psychiatric disorders and the fact that there are medical tests that can detect the possible underlying physical causes of mental health symptoms.  As a result of having been given partial or false information, by the psychiatric community, parents are left with questions and concerns.

The “Fight for Kids” event will help to educate the community as well as celebrate the future generation.  Dr. Timothy Scott, 20 year long psychology professor and author of the book, “America-Fooled”, will speak about his experience in the field and the research that led him to write this revealing book.  Patrick Valtin, Honorary Freedom Fighter will give an informative talk that will help families to understand what their rights are when it comes to their child’s education and their future.  There will be live, musical entertainment as well!
