In his time with Tampa Bay, Buccaneer defenders have been named to the Pro Bowl 16 times. The Tampa Bay defense has finished as the NFL’s top ranked unit on two occasions (2002 and 2005) and in the Top 5 in five of his six seasons with the Buccaneers. Morris’ impact on the secondary has been evident since his arrival in Tampa. As the assistant defensive backs coach, Morris helped guide a secondary that finished first (2004) and sixth (2005) in the NFL in pass defense. During his two seasons in charge of the secondary, the Buccaneers defense finished first (2007) and fourth (2008) against the pass.
Dominik, who joined the Buccaneers as a pro personnel assistant in 1995, has helped guide the Buccaneers to seven playoff appearances, four division titles and the franchise’s first world championship in Super Bowl XXXVII against the Oakland Raiders.
He has been intricate in signing key free agents, including WR Antonio Bryant, The Sporting News 2008 Comeback Player of the Year, Pro Bowl KR Clifton Smith, Pro Bowl LB Shelton Quarles, Pro Bowl P Josh Bidwell, K Matt Bryant and T Donald Penn, FB B.J. Askew and DT Chris Hovan.
Dominik started his career in the college and pro personnel departments for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was added to the Buccaneers’ staff in June 1995 as a pro personnel assistant. He served in that capacity through the 1997 season before assuming the title of pro scout in 1998. In 2000 he was elevated to the Coordinator of Pro Personnel before being promoted to the Director of Pro Personnel.
