Jones spent the 2009 season with the Philadelphia Eagles playing in 15 games and starting nine while recording 72 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, three passes defensed and one fumble recovery. He also recorded a team-high 20 special teams tackles last year for the Eagles. Since becoming a full-time starter in 2006, Jones is tied for the fourth-most interceptions in the NFL by a safety with 16. In his career Jones has played in 75 games with 53 starts and has accumulated 372 tackles, two sacks, 16 interceptions, 14 passes defensed, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and 41 special teams tackles.
Jones originally entered the league as a second-round pick (59th overall) by Cleveland in the 2004 NFL Draft and spent his first five seasons in the NFL with the Browns.
