Bark at the Ball ParkBaseball season has returned, and so will the Humane Society of Pinellas fundraiser Bark at the Ball Park. At their first event of the season on May 2nd, owners are allowed to bring their dogs to a Clearwater Threshers game at Bright House Field, 601 Old Coachman Road, Clearwater where the Threshers will face the Daytona Cubs at 1:00 p.m.

Bark at the Ball Park offers an afternoon of vendors, socializing with other animal lovers, and the amenities of Bright House Field, including Frenchy’s Tiki Bar and Home Run Concessions. There will also be an “EST” Pet Contest with a $475 prize. Starting during the first inning, pets will be judged in the creative category of the owner’s choice, for example, laziEST, drooliEST, and curliest. There will also be a Chinese Ruffable Raffle Basket, T-shirts, and adorable, adoptable pets. Rounding out the afternoon of fun is the chance to run the bases with your dog.

Tickets start at $5 for both humans and dogs. More information can be found at www.humanesocietyofpinellas.org.
