The 2009 U.S. Business Hall of Fame laureates include:

• George W. Jenkins (1907-1996), founder, Publix Super Markets
• Edward E. Whitacre Jr., chairman emeritus, AT&T
• Steve Case, founder, America Online, Inc.; chairman, The Case Foundation
Pam Muma, co-chair of the host committee along with Gus Stavros, noted, “These laureates epitomize the entrepreneurial spirit while providing positive role models for the young people who would walk in their footsteps. We are particularly pleased this year to induct representatives from two Tampa Bay area based businesses.”
The U.S. Business Hall of Fame, which supports over 9 million students throughout the world including 65,000 Tampa Bay area students, is being presented by Pamela and Leslie Muma, Frances and Gus Stavros and Publix Super Markets Charities.
