Frame factory & Gallery awarded First Place and Popular Choice at the Sunshine State PPFA Chapter Print Framing Competition
The PPFA International Print Framing Competition entrants are vying for international recognition of technical framing expertise, artistic design and cash awards. PPFA Annual Print Framing competitions bring out the very best in the Art and Framing industry's designs. PPFA International Print Framing Competition judging will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada in January, 2008. All entries will be displayed for Popular Choice voting as well. Winners for first, second and third places along with honorable mention and popular choice awards will be unveiled during the PPFA International Framing Competition Reception and Farewell Party. The Sunshine State Chapter serves 140 members from the state of Florida by providing local education and a forum of open communication to enhance the picture framing industry. For 35 years, Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA) has served the trade association for professional custom picture framers, art galleries, and framing and art manufacturers/distributors. With more than 3200 members nationally, and internationally, PPFA provides a growing array of services and benefits. PPFA serves the art and framing industry as an advocate for its members and by offering programs that elevate professional standards, enhance profitability, and expand sales. PPFA affiliated with Photo Marketing Association International in October 2001. PMA has more than 20,000 members in 100-plus countries and provides an annual convention and trade show typically drawing more than 650 exhibitors and approximately 25,000 to 30,000 registrants.
Frame Factory & Gallery has been affiliated with PPFA since 1974 and has been located at the same location for 34 years. The winning piece can be viewed at 600 East Bay Drive, Largo, Fl. Store hours are 9:30 a.m to 5:30 p.m Monday through Saturday. It will be sent to Las Vegas in January for further judging and then , returned in February.
