The 4th Annual Anita McAndrews Award Poetry Contest
Anita McAndrews, was not only an author and poet, journalist, artist and Clearwater Beach resident, but also a supporter of writers and artists. In 2006, her seven children established this award to commemorate her efforts as a human rights advocate which epitomizes the spirit of Poets for Human Rights.
Theme: Human Rights
First Prize: $200
Reading Fee: $2 per poem. Make checks payable to Stazja McFadyen.
Deadline for Submissions: November 1, 2009
The winner will be announced during the International Poets for Human Rights awards event, December 12, 2009.
