The Backroom Film Festival will be at NOVA 535 in St. Pete on September 9thSt. Petersburg, Fla.  – The Backroom Short Film Festival will present their next festival on September 9th at NOVA 535 in St. Petersburg, Florida. This one-day festival will feature films from 2 – 7 minutes in length in three categories: inspiration/motivation, comedy and animation. Conversations with the filmmakers will be interspersed throughout the evening. It’s a visual and interactive evening of film, conversation, food and spirits.

The Backroom is a group of individuals who are committed to improve their communities through a series of short film festivals designed to present films in the categories of inspiration/motivation, comedy and animation. Their vision is to create a global “Backroom” in which they are affecting people in a positive way. The Festival is an event designed to showcase people who have an inspiring story, unique talent, or special skill from which we can all benefit.

“We believe that in the future, there will be a greater desire for short films, and we will need the talent to make them. This is a film festival designed as a family friendly occasion with the movies rated PG or less,” Paul Gruber, CEO of The Backroom Short Film Festival, said

The Backroom Short Film Festival of St. Petersburg is seeking film submissions for the September event. Requirements: 2 – 7 minutes in length in one of the following three categories: inspiration/motivation, comedy and animation. All details are available on the website.
