TARPON SPRINGS, April 24, 2008 --- Art on the Docks is proud to announce the return of celebrity artist Robert Blehert this Mother's Day weekend, May 10th and 11th.  Blehert, who made his debut appearance in the Tampa Bay area last year, will paint what he calls, "Floral Essence Portraits" on both days between 11 am and 6pm. An internationally collected artist with a celebrity clientele that includes sports figures, movie directors and producers, Robert has been painting beautiful landscapes and portraits most of his life.

He started painting 'Floral Portraits' a few years ago at the request of a friend. These unique paintings are wildly popular especially with his female clientele.

“When executing a painting like this”, says Robert, “I am tuned-in to the particular woman standing before me and just let the colors and composition run free to capture the woman’s essence.” The end result is a highly textured beautiful painting that the artist says reflects the inner beauty of each woman that he paints.

His paintings have been alternately described as; impressionistic, realistic, wild, dynamic, rich, subtle, vibrant, soft, romantic, action, quiet, touching. Says one New York art collector about Robert’s paintings: “It looks like someone found a lost Monett and brought it into the gallery”.

Robert is flying in from Seattle, Washington to paint these one-of-a-kind floral portraits. For more information contact the gallery at (727) 943-9298.
