April 21st, Gang Deterrence Program: The Clearwater East Library will be showing a series of Spanish movies as part of a gang deterrence program in cooperation with the Clearwater Police Department and The Hispanic Outreach Center. Sin Nombre will be screened at 3:30 p.m. The movie is rated R for violence and gang activity. Following the movie there will be a talk session with the Clearwater Police Department to discuss how to avoid gang involvement. Ages 15 to 20. Free. May 1st, Clearwater Airpark Open House: The Clearwater Airpark is hosting its annual Open House featuring Astronaut Nicole Stott from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will feature a small ceremony honoring hometown astronaut Nicole Stott followed by free kids activities, reduced rate airplane and helicopter rides, a K-9 demonstration by the Clearwater Police Department  and an

May 1st, 2nd Annual 5K and Family Event: Runners and walkers of all levels and ages will follow the beautiful, scenic course that winds through Innisbrook’s North Course, one of four championship golf courses at the resort. Registration for the 5K begins at 7:00 am with the race commencing at 9:00 am.  Cost of the run/walk is $20 for pre-registrations prior to event day, and $25 to sign up at the event. May 1st, Tour de Trail Ride: Meets at noon at Skips bar on Dunedin’s Main Street for a Cinco de Mayo themed ride. Dig out all your decorations and costumes, and join everyone for a trip up the Trail. Planned stops are Skips, followed by the Dunedin House of Beer, followed by a new place to eat, Eli's BBQ. After fueling up at Eli's, we'll be heading north along the Trail to Eddies bar and Grill, then depending on time, heading north along the Trail to  Ozona Blue and Ozona Pig, then turn around and head back to wrap things up at Beso del Sol on the water.
