 PASCO COUNTY, FL - A Day of Caring Committee, chaired by Anna Sayre of Publix, has been working  for several months preparing an elaborate work and volunteer schedule so that all the fix up/clean-up tasks take place in one day.  The original date in May was washed out by the rain and rescheduled for June 10th.

Gulfside Regional Hospices Thrift Shoppe in Dade City Received a 2008 Best of Dade City AwardDADE CITY, FL (January 16, 2009) – Gulfside Regional Hospice’s Thrift Shoppe in Dade City, located at 37925 Sky Ridge Cir., has been selected for the 2008 Best of Dade City Award in the Thrift Shops category by the U.S. Local Business Association (USLBA).

 The USLBA Best of Local Business Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USLBA identifies companies that they believe achieve exceptional marketing success in their local community and business community. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.

3 Ivy And Santa At Gulfside Regional Hospice Holiday PartyNEW PORT RICHEY FL,  December 17, 2008  – There was an early Santa Claus sighting at Gulfside Regional Hospice during its annual Mending Hearts holiday party for children who have lost a loved one on Dec. 15 at the hospice’s main office in New Port Richey.

Forty-seven children attended the party. The children filled out a wish list and then their names were placed on a tree and selected by Gulfside staff and friends of the hospice, who bought the gifts. Local businesses including WDUV 105.5 FM, Macy’s at Gulfview Square Mall, Taylor Freezer and Ultimate Vending also provided gifts for the children. The Mike Alstott Family Foundation also gave $5,000 worth of toys, which filled over-sized stockings that each child took home with them to open later.

One of four anti-drug murals now on display in Plaza Park
 "It takes children to change a neighborhood." On Labor Day, children from the Plaza Park neighborhood put this to the test. They created and painted a mural that says, "Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Art."
