Tampa Bay Buccaneers Wide Receiver Micheal Spurlock was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 16 by the National Football League on December 29th. This marks the 26th time, including the third this season, that a Buccaneer has been named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week. He is also the third different return man for the Buccaneers to win the award this season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Kick Return Specialist Clifton Smith and Wide Receiver Sammie Stroughter will sign autographs and visit with fans at Bucs and Bulls Heaven Tuesday, December 15 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

The Chicago Bliss will play against the Tampa Breeze in the Lingerie Football League’s (LFL) Friday Night Football at the St. Pete Times Forum on December 4th. The kick-off is at 9:00 p.m. “The LFL will deliver the ultimate fan experience being on-top of the action in a Friday night party setting, delivering the truest form of Fantasy Football,” according to an LFL press release.

The Clearwater Academy Knights 6 man tackle football team is going to the State Championship this Saturday, November 14th 2009 at 7:30 p.m. In only their second season the Knights have risen to the top of the league and are going into the championship undefeated with a record of 12 straight wins.
