Bulls Play in Under Armour Series in Two Weeks 

Tampa, FL (February 19, 2009) - University of South Florida Softball is proud to announce The USF Under Armour Series, which is two individual events that will bring the largest NCAA Division I softball tournaments to the Tampa Bay area. 

 "For all softball aficionados, the USF-Under Armour Series will provide fans with the best competition in the nation," said USF softball head coach Ken Eriksen. "Division I softball at its best!"

 The first in the Series, March 6-8, will be called the USF Under Armour Invitational and boast 16 of the top Division I softball teams in the country. Teams that will be participating in the Invitational are: USF, Ball State, Boston University, Connecticut, Evansville, Fordham, Hofstra,  Illinois-Chicago, Lehigh, Loyola-Chicago, NC State, Robert Morris, St. Bonaventure, Villanova, Virginia Tech and Western Michigan.

The second and final event of the Series, March 13-15, will be the USF Under Armour Showcase tournament, which will play host to another 15 highly-competitive NCAA Division I softball teams. The teams participating in the Under Armour Showcase are: USF, Ball State, Boston University, BYU, Central Michigan, East Tennessee State, Florida International, Florida Gulf Coast, George Washington, Hofstra, Indiana, Jacksonville, Long Island, Loyola-Marymount (CA) and UMass.

GoUSFBulls.com will be chatting live from the fields at Eddie C. Moore Softball Complex where all 16 teams will be playing. Fans will be able to give their comments and insight about the teams that are playing. We will be updating the scores and giving an inside scoop of how the tournaments run.
