Budget:
The total art allocation budget for this project is $42,000.00 (USD).  This budget is to include all costs and expense, such as but not limited to: travel, materials, fabrication, transportation, insurance coverage, and installation, as well as engineering and conservation consultations.  A separate amount of $4,860.00 has been reserved for the artwork maintenance program.

An honorarium of $500.00 will be awarded to a limited number of artists who will develop and present a site-specific proposal to the Public Art Selection Committee.

Artist Eligibility:
This RFQ is open to all professional visual artists with public art experience that is commensurate with this project’s scope and budget.  Artists living in Florida’s Pinellas and Hillsborough counties are strongly encouraged to apply for this project.  City of Clearwater employees, as well as selection panelists and their immediate family members are not eligible for participation.
Professional artists are defined as a practicing fine artist, generally recognized by critics and peers as a professional of serious intent and ability.  Indications of a person’s status as a professional artist include, but are not limited to, income realized through the sole commission of artwork, frequent or consistent art exhibitions, placement of artwork in public institutions or museums, receipt of honors and awards, and training in the arts.
