DONATION OF DELL PRINTERS TO BE DISTRIBUTED THROUGH GIFTS IN KIND INTERNATIONAL - Thousands of Nonprofits Throughout North America to Benefit

Pasco County, January 14, 2009 - Dell Inc. and Gifts In Kind International, the world leader in product philanthropy, today announced a new donation program providing refurbished Dell All-In-One printers to eligible nonprofits throughout the United States and Canada. Through its network of 450 Gifts In Kind® programs, Gifts In Kind International will distribute the printers as they become available from Dell.

The donation will provide assistance to educational programs for children from kindergarten to the 12th grade, adult literacy efforts, job training, programs for the physically disabled and financially disadvantaged as well as other vital community services. The eligibility requirement for nonprofits is a current 501 (c)(3) status. Programs administered in Title 1 schools are also eligible.

The Dell printer donation includes three different models that provide printing, copying and scanning capabilities. Two of the three models feature fax capabilities. Each printer donation will include cabling, a color ink cartridge and a black ink cartridge.

"This program will place technology with organizations that may not otherwise be able to afford it, in turn bringing the benefits of technology to more people. Dell is excited to be able to provide our printers to Gifts in Kind", said Gregory Davis, Dell's Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Imaging and Printing Group.

"This contribution program is a wonderful example of an environmentally responsible company recognizing a thoughtful way to assist the charitable sector," said Richard Wong, President and Chief Executive Officer of Gifts In Kind International. "Tens of thousands of non-profits will benefit from Dell's generous donation and be able to provide vital services to those who are most in need."

Susan Arnett, president of the United Way of Pasco Count, noted that “in these economic times and with funding to so many organizations being slashed, these printers couldn’t have come at a better time.”
