A Big Band Concert featuring the sizzling sounds of the Helios Jazz Orchestra will take place at 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 11th. The Helios Jazz Orchestra is known for their swing, Latin and jazz tunes. Under the baton of trombonist David Manson of SPC, this 20 piece jazz orchestra includes some of the Tampa Bay Area’s most talented instrumentalists. Band members have performed with the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Torme, Henry Mancini, and Burt Bacharach. After the concert there will be a light reception in the fellowship hall in which concertgoers can meet, greet and thank the musicians.
Tickets are free, but there is a $5 suggested donation, and seating is first come, first serve. Doors open at 2:30. Parking is available just behind the church off of Pierce, in the County lot across Ft. Harrison, just north of the fellowship hall, and in the City Hall parking lot. For more information, visit www.peacememorial.org, call the church office at (727)-446-3001, or contact the Music Committee Chair Beth Daniels at (727)-461-1818 |
