Barrage's New Production Animado at the Capitol Theatre September 10

August 4, 2009, Clearwater, FL – Before this show actually hits the road for its official US tour, this global ensemble descends upon the historic Capitol Theatre in the Cleveland Street District in Downtown Clearwater on Thursday, September 10 at 7 pm with their newest jaw-dropping eclectic mix of music, song and dance that will leave your heart racing. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 14 at noon only at the Ruth Eckerd Hall Ticket Office.

Barrage will begin rehearsals for their US Tour at the historic Capitol Theatre in the Cleveland Street District in Downtown Clearwater on August 25. The rehearsals will culminate in a public performance at the intimate Capitol Theatre on September 10.

The whole family will enjoy Barrage’s new high-energy, fiddle-fest spectacular aptly titled Animado (meaning lively in Spanish).  This new entertainment performance has been compared to Riverdance and Stomp combined with a hot world music flare. The LA Times calls Barrage “Too WOW for words”.

This hip, new production, with contemporary influence and vocal arrangements, abounds with luscious tangos and songs inspired by the passionate cultures of Old World Europe. These high-energy musicians cavort, twist, and literally leap through the air with dazzling choreography and blurring fast fret work.
